Arcon's Civil & Structural Engineering Group can now generate 3-D structural renderings of damaged buildings and structures at the touch of a button. "The benefit to our clients of this latest investment is that staff will be able to generate site measurements in a fraction of the time that it used to take and with much greater precision.  When integrated with our CAD software, engineering drawings for reconstruction can be output quicker.  All of this translates into time savings which ultimately means cost savings for our clients" according to Randy Henderson.  The Leica BLK360 Imaging Laser Scanner's LiDAR technology captures the details of a site in full-colour panoramic images overlaid on a high-accuracy point cloud to deliver high resolution 3D panoramic images.  A short introductory video can be found at the following link:
