60 Years of Canadian Innovation - Week 29
January 16, 2025

For this week's innovation, we return to the world of gastronomy.  The Ambrosia Apple is a variety of apple originating in British Columbia, in the early 1990s. The original tree was first cultivated by the Mennell family of Similkameen Valley, British Columbia, who discovered it growing in their orchard.

So what makes an Ambrosia so special? Ambrosia is an apple that naturally doesn't brown quickly after being sliced, making it perfect for snacks or salads. You can cook with it too!
