In 1969, Walter Chell was asked to create a new signature cocktail for the Calgary Inn’s new Italian restaurant. His original recipe has spawned many variations and likely unforeseen in his life, there are now pre-mixed, pre-packaged options available. In 2010, Parliament named the Caesar as the official cocktail of Canada.
