60 Years of Canadian Innovation - Week 12This week we celebrate a uniquely Canadian, winter-related innovation...Ringette!
Ringette was invented in North Bay in 1963 by Sam Jacks and is now played by over 30,000 Canadians from coast to coast to coast. While Canadian in origin, ringette is now played in numerous countries around the world. The International Ringette Federation was formed in 1986 with the first World Championship held in Canada of course!
