60 Years of Engineering Excellence – The Michael Mutcheson Memorial Tournament

Next month will mark 30 years since the Michael Mutcheson Memorial Golf Tournament first teed off. In 1995, a group of Michael’s friends wanted to celebrate his life and create a legacy through a scholarship in his name. A charity golf tournament was the logical choice.

In addition to the annual scholarship, the MMMT has been a benefactor to many other charities since its inception. Last year, $40,000 was donated to Hope Haven Therapeutic Riding Centre where in their words, “Your generosity has directly and positively impacted the lives of nearly 500 individuals with diverse needs and disabilities”.

As a proud supporter of the MMMT, we are thankful for the foresight and commitment of the original organizing committee, and also for the efforts of the many other committee volunteers over the years who make this one of the keynote charitable events of the calendar year.

A recent reorganizing of our Head Office led to the discovery of a pristine MMMT rain shell from an early 2000’s edition of the event.
